Canvas Eyelet Installation?

Hey Guys:

I replaced the front canvas on the Maxum, but the eyelets were not installed. Is there a special tool or proceedure to put these in? I tried to line up and push one through the canvas, but it seemed impossible to do by hand.

a razor knife, little cross cut where you want the snap. yes there is a tool too insert, and hit with a hammer.

harbor freight has a little kit for about $4, don't know if it works well or not.

home depot sells the kit tool and gromets for $10 jus bought one yesterday they have 3/8 and 1/2
