Well, I didn't mess with photos this time as I was too busy during and too whipped after the work this past weekend. I got the cap fastened back to the hull. The aluminum and vinyl rubrail are installed. New carpet was placed on the new floor deck and the new front deck compartment floor also along with the rod box area. She's finally coming together! I'm waiting on the steel shop to get my SS angles cut and bent to be placed on the transom to hide the ugly areas where I had to cut the cap away from the transom when it was pulled apart. This weekend, I'll have the engine installed and all the components hooked back up along with some new gadgets like courtesy lighting, tilt/trim gauge, hour meter, horn, livewell drain/fill cable, bilge pump, auto battery switch for charging trolling motor battery, and new tachometer harness. I also replaced the trailer winch and added a spare tire carrier (just need the spare wheel/tire now) which is a must.

Other things left to do: Trailer bunk carpet and trailer paint. Restore the fiberglass on the boat for oxidation damage. Put on the new custom made windshield which I had made locally.

I'll probably get to the photos this next time around.

Til then, Cheers!

Re: Cap is back onto hull <1979 Laser Bass Boat>

Thanks guys. I'll have to say that one of the reasons that I almost have it done is due to the fact that I worked on average 10 to 12 hours each Friday (if I had Friday off work), Saturday and Sunday for about 2 months going. My body is also payiong the price for it too. I still feel like I've been pressing iron for a living after each weekend. It's all worth it when it comes down to having peace of mind and no worries when I have my family on the water.

Thanks to all that replied to my questions throughout this project. I might or could have done things in the wrong way and not have things come together as wished. I honored your opinions and kept them in mind through all of it, and with that, I'm proud with the outcome!:D

I'll be SURE to get finished photos attached next weekend. Tash, I'll try to get those in a smaller format. I'm just not sure yet as to the setting of the camera to achieve it, but I'll try.

Happy boating everyone!!!:):):)
