Re: Capacity plate info
I contacted the Florida Fish & game commission, and the DMV (which handles boat registrations). They both said the only way to get a replacement is via the manufacturer...
Now for me thats a huge problem because the boat builder for my boat went out of business a while ago...
I dont know about aquasport... I thought they were still in business, but can't seem to find a dealer for them anymore... so guess not... someone else can probably chime in there...
The only solution I found was to try and find someone with the same boat to take a picture of thier's and have a new one made up at a sign/trophy/plaque place... but I never got a reply... you'll probably have better luck with an aquasport than I did with my brand hehe.
Here is what the Fish & Game commision sent me for the formula:
"To answer your question for it being the capacity plate. If you are
unable to obtain this information from the manufacturer, then you can use
this formula to determine what your boats capacity is;
vessel length (feet) multiply vessel width (feet) dived by 15. This will give you the total maximum number of people you may have your boat. You can take the total number of people then multiply by 150, this will give you the
total maximum weight limit."
But there is no formula for max HP rating...
Here was my thread on it:
Capacity Plate
Good luck!
