the boats capacity is 1500 pounds - do you suppose this is in excess of the 65 gallon fuel tank?

Re: Capacity question

First of all, the cpacity is not 1500 lbs it is 1200 lbs. gas weighs about 6 lbs per gallon so 65 gallons of fuel will be about 390 pounds.

Re: Capacity question

No, clearly stated there is 650 lbs capacity of peoples or gear. That's the truely important #. That assumes the motor, fuel capacity (IS THE TANK FACTORY?) as built by the manufacturer are accounted for.

Re: Capacity question

The 650 depends on the 1200. The 1200 is passengers, motor, gear, etc. The 650 is only passengers. That leaves 550 for everything else. If the 65 gallon tank is full, that leaves 160 pounds for motor and gear. If the motor and gear are more than 160 pounds then you don't have 650 left for passengers with full fuel.

Re: Capacity question

I have a sneaking suspicion that given it has a capacity tag it's under 20' no? If so, that 65 gal tank doesn't sound stock to me.
