Second time I had to enter the captcha think. If this continues I will be saying good bye to this forum. Do understand the concept and it has it's places just not here.

If your IP addy doesn't change, it won't ask again. Sorry it was necessary. There is no reason it is being used other than to slow down bad guys. Again, if you log in from same place, and have a fiixed IP addy. It won't ask again. Please see this thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=575832

Well it happened twice since the forum was down. Maybe my ISP renewed an IP address for me. Thanks

If having to type a few letters/number is all it takes you to "hate" such a great forum then--well-------

Your apparent IP address will change occassionally unless you are paying for a static IP. Doesn't seem like much of a hassle to have to type it in occassionaly.

Hi All..
The problem I have is that the system doesn't seem to recognize the "word" I have to type it in over and over.. It changes the word several times and then finally it will accept.. Last night it took 9 entry's.. Strange..

These words are confusing to see. Not just here but anywhere they are used. It's meant to be that way. You have to look at it closely. Some other places are near impossible for anyone my age.

My firstime back took, I think, 4 tries. nextime I think 2 tries.Hasn't asked again.
I do have a 21.5" HD monitor, Apple Mac OSX so seeing things is easier than some.

While I understand your difficulty with reading some of the letters, still kinda rough don't you think? Any who, when I can't understand/read those letters/numbers, I always find it clearer when I refresh them, sometimes more than once. Eventually I'll get a set that is clear. Of course, I could just wear my glasses when I logged in, but quite frankly I'm too lazy for that, lol.

Awful fine forum full of some really helpful and cool folks to give up over a security issue. To each their own I suppose.
