No, it's not.

And by "whole" thread, do you mean all 16 posts above mine, lol.

yep, in the 16 post above yours he said 3 different times why he did not put them on himself. try reading slower, maybe you over looked it.

Perhaps they measured the rotor thickness and determined it was too thin not to replace.

The tech may have called the pads because the friction material was seperating from the backing plates.Pads don't need to be worn out to call them.I've been a licensed Tech for more years than I care to remember in Ontario and I'm here to tell you that contrary to popular belief we are not all crooks. While working at a GM Dealer I made a call on some brake work where the linings were not worn out.The owner then went to Midas and had then rechecked. They actually said that it didn't need anything(first time I ever heard of that, they usually want to replace everything).Anyway cust comes back freaking out.My service manager trys to hang me out and asks me if I can back up what I called.I brought the truck in,pulled the wheels, showed him exactly why I called what I did and then did the same with the customer. After I explained it I not only got the job,but I also got an apology from the service manager and the customer.

Try going to the Tech and have him explain why he did what he did.Good chance he had a very good reason for what he did.
