Hi, Burdette.<br /><br />The best I can suggest is to get a manual.<br /><br />Your engine is a 1971 9.5hp.<br /><br />You can get a factory manual at www.kencook.com , an aftermarket manual here, http://www.boatmotors.com/manuals.html <br /><br />Or you can borrow one at your Library.<br /><br />Good luck.

might wanna check on ebay there are a few factory manuals for that engine on there now. by the way they are great little motors. also the carb is very easy to rebuild but u might wanna wait for the manual because there is a special way to time the throttle, tiller arm and points plate.

388833 comes up as a fuel pump.A rebuild kit will have good pictures to put it back together by.In my shop,we replace the assembly,because of the kit cost plus labor exceeds the new pump price ($42).<br />DHP
