Hi guys, I am new here. I would like to know if there's a special kind of carb cleaner I need to use? I found a PDF manual I've been looking over but I don't see anything specific on this topic.

Thanks

You have to disassemble the carb, soak it for a day or two in the carb cleaner, then use compressed air to clean the passages. If you dont have comoressed air, use a spray can of CRC carb cleaner. Wear safety glasses, as the passage your cleaning may be aimed at you.

Use a fishing line to pass thru each passage to ensure they are clean.

You can get a one gallon can of Berrymans from most any auto parts store. Comes with a soak basket and all. Keep it covered, or you will not have any left.

Only thing not noted here is that Edelbrock puts a finish on their carbs that comes off in carb cleaner, so they recomend Simple Green or other non-volitile cleaner.
