Carb conversion idea

I finshed my engine and boat. She runs well (knock on wood) I regret, however, not putting a 4bbl carb on my new 350 vortec. I am going to do the swap with a manifold in the winter. But, can I buy a 4bbl carb now and use an adapter like this

+1 to that.

That adapter is a half-#$$ed approach to making a 4bbl fit a 2bbl manifold. It will not increase the CFM that the manifold is capable of drawing, and will most likely make the engine run rich, and be a bear to tune.
