Big warning about not running the engine over 3000 rpm with cover removed.

What happens if you do? Just wondering...

Thanks Dan

Re: Carb cover

I have run engines all day with no cover or cowling. Everything went fine, except for the noise increase of about 3x. It is very easy at that RPM to suck something into the carb throats. :D

Re: Carb cover

It is hard on your shirt tails. Some motors are set up to run richer with the carb covers on. So you may run a bit lean at high RPM.
