Carb dry, me cry

Hi all: 86 30 hp Johnson. No fuel in the bowl, suspect stuck float. I have tapped out every tune I know on the carb without success. Primer delivers fuel to the pump. Disconnect pump outlet hose, won't pass fuel poured into it.<br />Engine starts with spritz of premix.<br />Last rebuilt by pro on carb and pump 2 years ago.<br />Anyone confirm my suspect? Other possibilites?<br />Thanks, new to the list, love it, better than tool time.

First welocme to the board rowrow!<br />with the line pulled from the carb, do you get gas there? if so its the carb.

If the engine will start by shooting fuel mix into the carb, rebuild the carb using the proper kit. Does it continue to run after you shoot the pre-mix into the carb or does it die out fairly quick?

Disconnect the hose from the pump to the carb and squeeze the bulb. If no fuel will come out then you have a fuel line, bulb, or pump problem.

Rick: Engine starts right up with the spritz into the carb, runs up enuff to get the pee hole started and dies. Thanks, Steve

Walker: Yep, good flow out of the pump when bulb squeezed.

can you pump the bulb and keep it running? if then look at the fuel pump.

Thanks all for the help. Got a carb kit and service manual ordered. Looks to be a job to get off. I'm gonna try to worry the carb off without pulling the starter. I'll be BACKKKKkkkkk.
