carb float needle

Just rebuilt carbs on 1980 140HP johnson model J140TLCSA. After setting float height i checked the movement of needle seat and it sometimes sticks closed, it is the new all metal needle.
Just did some more searching on iboats and found I did not attach return spring on needle that came with new metal setup. iboats saved the day for me, it is awesome. Hope the beast runs great.

did it not come with a clip that ensures the needle comes back down?

Just a update to carb rebuild, I did a test ride on the lake today and the sea horse 140 ran great at all speeds and a smooth idle. Already for fishing next season on Lake Ontario.
