I've got an 15 HP '89 Evinrude E15ECEC. Motor was running fine for a couple of weeks after I replaced some missing parts that on my carb. Retainer was missing off of SS needle and carb cover was cracked. Like I said it was running smooth at idle, slow speed, and WOT. Last week had boat out and wouldn't start, took it back home and missed around with it and finally got it running. Now it won't start at all. It has good spark, it will jump a 1/2 inch gap with a nice blue, snappy spark. Pulled carb off to re-clean yesterday and pulled rope and fuel was coming out of line that comes from fuel pump. Is this a good fuel pump test? When i took carb off it did have fuel in it. I felt like i cleaned the carb really well, used compressed air and carb cleaner, as well as wire. But after tons and tons of pulls the spark plugs were bone dry. I was going to put some fuel in the spark plug holes to see if i could get her going. Any suggestions on where to go from here?
Thanks guys,
