Re: carb help

I had problems like that with my 86 60hp 3 cyl engine. The manual said to test various components and I found the stator to be bad. But it still would not start, just buck and sneeze and misfire. Checked all the wiring and found nothing. It was set up for firing order 1 2 3. Was looking at the head and noticed that the firing order was 1 3 2 . Switched the two leads and presto it ran again. It was interesting to note that coils from top to bottom are 3 2 1 as are the switch box posts. Don't know if this translates to your engine but you might check out the wire routing. JH
