What is the Kit # for the carb. on my 1959 35 super seahorse, and where can I get them?
My motor runs fine at high speed but will sputter and cut of at idle, and I noticed gas coming from the front of the carb yesterday. I have set both the low and high speed adjustments per J. Reeves. Motor starts right up, but after warming up does not want to idle.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Michael

Can I get by with just putting the Needle and seat,#18-7093, or will I need to get the full kit, #18-7024 or 18-7010? Why are these kits different? This motor runs great at mid to high RPM. Only has problem after warming up. Will pop and cut off when shifting from gear to nuetral. Idles good when cold.
Thanks
Michael

You want the full kit. Actually, forget about the NAPA/Iboats kit and pick up 439071 from your local Johnny/Rude dealer. The factory kit comes with a new fuel tolerant plastic float to replace the troublesome cork one. The aftermarket kits don't have this essential part.
Besides the float, the kit will give you a new bowl gasket, needle and seat, needle valve packing and soft plugs so you can remove the old and clean out the passages.
