I have an '87 OMC Cobra with a Chevy 350. Carb is a Quadrajet. I almost always boat at or near sea level. I am planning to take my boat to Lake Tahoe this summer. The lake elevation is 6,225. If I don't adjust the fuel mixture, will the boat still run half decent? I know it won't have the power it usually does, but that's not a big deal to me. I really don't want to mess with the carb because I'm a novice and I am afraid if I mess with it I will never get it back to smooth operation at sea level. I have also heard I can go with the smaller prop. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
