Boat: 1998 Proline 241
Two barrel carb on a 350 Mercruiser motor.

Just pulled my boat out of winterization and couldn't get it to start. Bought a Carb kit, pulled my carb off the engine, cleaned it and replaced old parts with the new parts from the carb kit. After I rebuilt the carb, the engine runs fine once it is started, but it has a real hard time getting started, sometimes taking 6 to 10 seconds before starting. It new had this problem before so I think that when I put the carb back together I might have not done something wrong with the automatic choke or it might be one of the jets is still clogged. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Carb Problems on 350 Mercruiser

If it is the automatic choke linkage, can anyone tell me where to get a diagram or picture of how it is suppose to go on the carb? This would allow me to narrow the problem down a little.

thanks
