1956 35h on the carb there are two knobs beside the choke what are they the writing is scratched off and can't read it

1956 would be a 30hp - they didn't make a 35hp until 1957. Top is the low speed knob and bottom is the high speed knob.

sorry i meant 1957 but the knobs are not up and down they are both to the right of the choke
