I have a 1986 5.7L Mercruiser in a 1979 22' bartnegat i had to rebuild the engine due to the manifolds wentbad and got water in the cyl got it all put back together and now i have to rev the engine very high to warm up then it will idle in neutral then when i put into gear and go to take off it doesnt want to pick up right away it takes a while then when i bring back to slower speed the engine cuts off im pretty sure that i got the timing and really close if not dead on so im thinking its carberation the one that came on the engine after doing some reseaRCH IS FROM A 120 HP 4 CYL My question is can i change over to efi and make it work or spend the $600.00 on the right carb
