Hello All,

Anyone have a part number for:
1989 60HP mariner 2-stroke, 3cyl A111055 carb rebuild kits?

On the side of the carbs, the numbers are WM-13-1. Also guess I need to replace the fuel pump diaphragm. Number for that as well.

I got a quote from a store but they won't give me the part numbers:mad:

Thanks in advance...

Because Sierra don't have inlet needles available they don't list a kit, if you need a kit you need to go to mercury or get a inlet and a gasket kit for each carb. Thats the cheapest way out.

Hey Laddies,

I replaced the fuel pump diaphragm and rebuilt both carbs.

Took it out on the water, and she took off like a bat out of he-double hockey sticks. Ran WOT for about 5 seconds, then it felt as it was starving for fuel.
Does this sound like a float issue?

When I rebuilt the carbs, I used the old float lever just because I don't really know where to measure the distance. In my book, it told me 17.46mm from the base of the carbureater. Do you measure from the base to the little line on the float. Looks like where the float was molded together?

Don't sound like a float issue. It sounds like a contaminated fuel system, or plugged filter, or collapsed fuel line, or tank vent plugged. In short, it sounds like a bulk fuel delivery issue.

Could also be electrical.

hope it helps

Re: Carb rebuild kit part #'s ?

Hey John,

Thanks for the reply. I replaced all of the fuel lines this past weekend. I also bought a new 6 gallon tank and bulb with it. All of the fuel lines are new.

New fuel pump diaphram
Rebuilt Carbs
New lines.

Here's one thing I didn't mention.....:) After I run the motor for a while, when I use the tilt to bring the motor back up, fuel comes out of the carbs. It looks like it is coming from the center of the carbs where the black plastic piece with two arms coming from it. Is that the Venturi? Is that due to incorrect float adjustment of did I miss something when I rebuilt them. It did this before too.

It does however idle, and run 3/4, which it did not before... Thanks again guys. You all are awesome!:)

Also, When running it WOT, I crept to the back where the bulb was, and squeezed it.... It stayed at WOT with no problems when I did this.. I should have mentioned this before... Sorry

Your carb leak is probably high float level and if it runs top end using the bulb it's the fuel pump or a vacume leak. Did you change the ck valves in the fuel pump?

Hey Laddies,

No, I didn't replace the check valves. Do you think I should do that first? For the float adjustment, what setting should I follow? On the card that it came with it says
.690
----
.660 or something like that... Don't have the card in front of me...

Then the book says 17.46... Should I follow the card or the book? And do you measure from the base of the carb to the line of the float?

I'll go ahead and order the check valves just to be on the safe side anyway...is there a separate kit?

Hey Laddies,

I couldn't find anywhere on the web that has check valves for my fuel pump. All I could find was the diaphragm kit. It seems as though my motor is not very popular for parts......

Also when you said high float level.... Just to be sure, bend the float lever (carbs upside down) so the gap between the float and the base of the carb decreases right?

The check vavles only come in the kit from Mercury and they rob you for it, heres a link http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...0&bdesc=FUEL+PUMP,+FUEL+FILTER+AND+FUEL+LINES
To drop the fuel level you increace the space between the float and the base.

The hollow floats are the white plastic ones like on the link you sent me? And the foam type floats are the solid? looks like it matters with the adjustment.

You weren't kiddin on the prices!! I ordered the checkvalves and a couple jets.

I think I finall put 2 and 2 together. My brain isn't functioning today. This whole problem would make sense because the float that I replaced was styrofoam or whatever and the gap was increased. I replaced with a plastic hollow float... So the gap would need to be decreased to allow more fuel. I think this will fix my WOT problem!!

Thanks again. Shout out to Laddies and J_Martin!!
