I recently purchased a new to me boat and had trouble on the water with low end missing, running rich etc. I decided to go ahead and rebuild carbs and put new plugs in while I am also attending to other maintenance items.
When reading the service manual and disassembling the carbs I got to the section of checking the "starter assy" (that's what the part is called when ordering).
I think mine is bad without even testing. Here is a pic of it, and it does not look like the diagram in the book.
If anyone has experience with these, am I in fact missing something on this? I already ordered one (ouch $$) but am really wondering if this could have been my problem to start with. What would a bad part cause the motor to do?
I am not new to boats/motors but am new to Yamaha and this set up.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
