Hi everyone:
I just rebuilt the carbs on my 1989 90hp evinrude. Running on the hose never noticed a problem. Put it in the water today and throttled it up and it sounded like it was running out of gas and shut off. Pulled the cowl and air silencer cover off and tried to restart it and seen that there was fuel pouring out of the air bleed hole/overload hole(front, top, middle portion of top carb). Attached pic of hole. I could put my foot over the hole and get it to restart again and get it back to the loading ramp, had to do this several times. The floats are adjusted correctly i believe just off level as per Joe reeves instructions and with a 1" drop as per manual instructions. Carbs where soaked in carb cleaner and all 6 orifices in both carbs were cleaned out and blown threw. Floats are installed right also. New kits were used. Does anybody have a clue what is going on here?
Thanks for your help,
Lee
