I have a '98 Johnson j90tslec. What is the best (easiest) way to remove the throttle and shift cables from the air silencer base. Can I remove the cable retainer and pop the trunnions out of their anchor pockets or should I remove the cables from their pins and then move base and cables

TD, I do not have any cotter pins on the cables. I do have lock nuts and what looks like drift pins. Should I remove the lock nuts or take out the pins? Hope the picture come up

Carburetor linkage removal. Does one just pull that linkage from the cam to get it off. I don't see those retainers in the carb kit and Murphy and I are very old enemies.
The air silencer base came off very without a hitch, Thank You.
