Carb replacement

Ok guys. I have a pretty much stock 90 7.4 mercruiser motor and was thinking of replacing the outdated quadra junk carb with an aftermarket one like a Holley or a edelbrock. I guess the question I have is does anyone know what cfm carbs are on these motors and what someone recommends the replacement cfm be?

Ayuh,.... The 1410 Edlebrock is an exact copy of the Merc/ Weber carb used by Merc at 750 cfm,.....

So is that what comes standard on these then in cfm's?

Thanks bondo. Would it be equivalent to a double pumper from Holley or a vacuum secondary?

Ayuh,.... I answered post 3 in post #2,.... 'n I don't do Holley carbs,....

Rochester Quadra-jets, 'n the Carter clones, Edlebrock, 'n the Merc/ Weber are vacuum 2ndaries,....

I don't like the fore, 'n aft fuel bowls, rather have side by side fuel bowls, considerin' boat motors are Never anywhere near level,....
