carb swap out

hey guys,

i have a t the stock two barrell on my 96' merc 5.7....i want to get a little more performance. what carbs would work well with my merc? would be up for an intake change too if performance matches the money.....i do have
corsa exhaust ....thanks in advance

Ayuh,... The Edlebrock Performer series of a carb is a carbon copy of the Merc/ Weber carb Merc is using...
1 of their mid-rise manifolds will work for you,.. Not much saltwater in Kentucky...

how big should i go...i dont want to overkill...what about the 600cfm part #1406 from edelbrock

carter makes a 625 or edelbrock makes a 600 or 650 which is more than enough for your 5.7.

Ayuh,... 600/ 650cfm.... Dual-plane manifold....

ok....just bought a 600cfm performer series edelbrock......my 5.7 id a 2 bbl and i dont know if the heads are vortec since my motor is a 1996 i would think that it was but i dont know. does any one know what heads are on it....would look but its in storage

Ayuh,... Then you'd better wait til ya Know... 96 is the transition year...
