I have a 98 200 Carb motor that I tore up on a rock last summer. (Motor mounts busted loose and the steering arm wiped out my carbs and intake) A buddy gave me his EFI system off of his blown 96 200 EFI. He sold the midsection with the serial # and I can't get access to parts & part #'s in Merc website without the serial #. Can someone out there who has a 96 200 EFI let me borrow thier serial #? I need access to bleed line diagrams and wiring diagrams. Thanks. Bob

somewhere on the engine block you should find a small aluminium disc, looks like a core plug (I think you guys call them freeze plugs). That will have the serial number on it...

I don't have the old block. Just have the EFI and ignition system. Thanks
I think a 97 # will work too.

You are also going to need the front manifold from the EFI as the carb model is longer. Make sure you have ALL the electronics and fuel system parts before attempting to change.
