Wondering on the reliability of 150 evinrude intruder. Are they still making them? If not do you know when they stopped. How much are they worth new? signed 70's merc owner.

You can't get them. Few years ago, while still under OMC, Evinrudes became Ficht DI, Johnsons stayed carb. Now under Bombardier, Johnson makes a 150 and 175 hp carb, both on the same 158 cube block. Don't know enough to compare the old Evinrude with the new Johnson, but I see that Bombardier now gives a 2-year non-declining warranty on Johnsons, 3 on Evinrude. Can't go wrong!

I've had a 175 intruder since 92 and to date I have only had to replace the fuel solenoid,a trim/tilt relay and just this year the power pack.I feel that is pretty good for a 10 year old engine.
