Carbs on 73 Merc 500

I am replacing all the fuel lines on my motor. While I have everything taken off to access the carbs, I wanted to clean them. What is the easiest way to clean the 2 carbs? Or is there a carb kit I can buy for this motor? Thanks

go to the parts section of iBoats and look up your engine size year and sereal number to match there charts and you can find information on what you need to rebuild your carbs. If they havn,t been done in a long time if ever while you have them off a rebuild is strongly advidsed as opposed to a cleaning. just some good advise for you thats all
