Carbs or spark???

1988 Evinrude 90 hp. Runs and starts great. Seems to be using more fuel then usual?? Pulled the sparkplugs. One was nice and brown, other 3 were very wet and black!!Whats my next step AFTER I run some carb cleaner thru it??? I have a feeling carb cleaner;s not going to do it??

make sure the primer (choke) in in the auto position. Pump the bulb until it fells like a firm hand shake, If it will not get stiff then you have a leaking needle or primer. Probably needs a complete carb rebuild with new gaskets if it has not been done in a few years.

Ya, I'm leaning towards rebuilding them. Where's a good place to get rebuild kits without breaking the bank??

most web sites are with in a few dollars of each other so how about using Iboats since this is there forum....:laugh:
