Re: carbuerator problems

I know this sounds basic but if you did a carb rebuild and it's doing the same thing and your pretty sure it's fuel/carb, try new fuel line and pump bulb. if you havnet already it's a cheap thing to check and it fixed what i thought was a carb problem once. Good luck.

i see you just cleaned the fuel pump screen. if it does it next time out, squeeze the bulb while running. if it gets better while squeezing the bulb, you need to put a new fuel pump diaphragm in it.

Re: carbuerator problems

I've had this happen to me as well and found that I had a pinhole in my fuel line...when you pumped the bulb it would fill the bowls, and then when you dropped the hammer, the fuel was used and air was entering the fuel line and created a lean condition, and would bog down...pump bulb, go like heck, and do it again.<br /> I'm a true believer in replacing exposed (ultra-violet) lines every other year, and use a high quality line. I tried this with the fuel cap on, and off, and it made no diff. :D

Re: carbuerator problems

should the bulb stay hard all the time it seems like it loses its stiffness after you prime it a couple of times and take off or should it loosen up as you go????
