Can anybody tell me how to check and service the carberator in an evenrude 15
the number on the side of my one is mx431824
Or do you have any instruction data on it
year of mtr is 1990
Also, getting a lot of smoke from this mtr, ie blue smoke
Could the bores be worn or the wrong mixture, or carburation, or what ?

You can go to http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.htmlu and get info manual for your carbs as to rebuilding and tunning your motor. As for the exesive smoke when running the motor. It could be because the mixture is rich on oil or the use of some of the cheaper grade 2 cycle oils if that is what your using. A brand name oil that is ceritifed by the boating industry will smoke less, and the new synthedic oils made are even better. I always try to run my tanks close to emty before long term storage, and then dump out any fuel and fill the tanks with freash fuel and just shake them before using the unit again in the spring. JMO
