Can anyone provide me with a good source for a new carb for my mercruiser 5.0L engine?

I currently have a rebuilt Quicksilver 3310-804622R02 on it and I'm not so sure that it is working properly.

thanks,

What is it, or is it NOT doing?...could just need to be tweaked/tuned, if it's been recently rebuilt.

It flooded on me the other day. It had been running for about half an hour and it stranded me out on the lake. I managed to get it started and I limped back to my slip.

Re: carbureator

My carburetor saga is finally over.

After two years of telling the folks at the authorized Mercury repair shop that the rebuilt carb that they sold me was crap, I finally bought a brand new carb and my problem of getting fuel in my crankcase is gone. I've run the motor for 10 hours and I've taken the houseboat out twice and the oil looks great, without a hint of fuel addition/contamination.

For those on iBoats who have said that rebuilt Mercruiser carbs are crap, I wholeheartedly agree.

Now, how do I go about getting the $500 back that I paid for the POS carb that they sold me? I'm certain that they won't warranty it even though I said from day one that the carb was bad. Small Claims court?
