Hello guys, this is my first post here on the I-boats forum. I possibly could have e-mailed customer assistance to answer this Q, but it's kind of a two-in-one. I have a 1974 Mercury 650 65hp Thunderbolt, and as you know it has the twin carb setup. I want to get these rebuilt and running smooth. I found this kit on i-boats: http://www.iboats.com/Carburetor-Kit-Sierra/dm/view_id.187699 and it only shows one jet with it. Is this kit for both carbs? I did purchase the service manual to go with it to do the work, but I was wondering if anyone had any good tips on tuning these once installed.

Thanks!

Re: Carburetor Kit

That kit has gaskets, a banjo filter and inlet needle and seat for one of your carbs. You will need two kits for your motor. You might order new floats as well, as they go bad after a while.

you will need one kit for each carb. Buy new floats to they don't come with the kits. Lots of info on tuning here do a search.
