Carburetor year assistance needed

Anyone know how to find what year a carburetor is. I have a 1983 35hp evinrude which the past owner put a newer year carburetor on it with electric choke. I have the SELOC manual but does not cover this Carburetor.

Outside of Carburetor are numbers 339 & 169 and the black plastic cover for the choke attached to the top has numbers 340167 on it.

In summary Carburetor has the bowl on the bottom with the black plastic choke piece on the top which the choke gas line goes to from the externally mounted electric choke piece. The external choke has the RED lever for shutting of gas also. Any help would be appreciated since my local repair shop was not too helpful and I need to get a CARB rebuilding kit and unable to purchase without known year.

Also if anyone knows of a good repair shop in the West Palm Beach, Jupiter Florida area which carries parts let me know.

Thanks for your assistance.

The kit for that year motor is part#392061
It just depends on how much newer the carb you have is...
Most kits work for several years or different models.

Go here and look up your motor and it has a diagram of the carb,

Hi Gary. Are you running the Chriscraft. Looks like a Suzuki on the back. I run a "79 Mark Twain with a Suzuki on the back. Just curious.
