So what is wrong with yours? Are you looking for the entire carb or just the brass float? Because there are lots of places advertising parts for that carb all over the net.

I damaged the pocket the viton seat goes into. The bore for the seat is part of the casting. This is the first time I've done something stupid like this.

Okay, is there any way to drill it out and install a new seat? Most seats are made from either brass or steel. And either one can be removed and new one installed. We would need some pictures to know for sure though. Before buying a new carb body, I would take it to a machine shop and have then drill it out and insert a new one if you don't have the tools to do it yourself. JMHO

Post some pictures of the problem.

Some versions have a removable seat but this carb has a bore that's part of the casting. Marineengine and some others have an exploded view of this model.

Okay since the seat is machine into the body, and this is a Walbro carb, you could use other bodies that are of the same size. And Walbro makes millions of such carbs. So if you can't find your exact model, look for a similar body and transfer the inners from your old carb to the new body. Just another idea to think over. Search Ebay and use the carb body numbers to find replacement parts. But remember, the minute you look for a carb for an OB engine, the price shoots through the roof. It is how the market operates.

I personally would buy a new seat of the same dimensions (easy to figure out) and drill the bore for it and reassemble it again. But that is just me. The inlet for teh seat is easy to dimension using drill bits as your sizing gauge. And the needle then can be most any size that fits that seat. JMHO

It resembles a B&S carb (as in the 6hp engines) in that a viton seat sits in a machined pocket, being pushed in by a drill shank or similar device. This is similar but has a groove that a type of snap ring goes into just above the viton seat, acting as a retainer.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I know Walbro makes zillions of carbs and there's one on ebay for a 89 15hp Chrysler. It looks roughly similar except for the choke lever.

I may try some more to fix this one. The F10120 kit has a snap ring, like mentioned above. I drove one into the bore. The viton seat can bottom onto it and results in putting the float at the proper parallel position. However, the bore is slightly larger in diameter so I'd need to find a way to fix it into position.

I think I have a number for a salvage yard.

Original Problem: It would bog at higher throttle most of the time but sometimes seem to hit max rpm. It has new lines and fp is rblt. Ignition (new points and condensers) looks good using an inline spark tester at all settings. Looking at the seat with an opti visor and light, the seat appeared a little swollen.
