Carby Kit

G'day all
I have finally rewired my engine and got it running (badly)
Think I need to rekit my carb, I've already had it apart and despite the carb being very basic, the only issue I could see as a problem is the fibre washer that fits onto the end of the main jet was falling apart.
Is there anywhere I can get a carby kit and what if anything does the fibre washer do?
Is there anything in particular I need to be looking out for that will get this baby running smoothly and does anyone have any tips.

The fiber washer seals the high speed nozzel.

Get a carb kit and thoroughly clean/rebuild the carb. Make sure to remove the welch plug on the top of the carb and clean the idle circuit beneath. There are small holes under there that get clogged up. If she has good compression and spark, once the carb is cleaned and rebuilt, she should purr like a kitten.

Thanks can I remove the welch plug without ruining it?
Or is there an equivalent that I can use as a replacement
I'm located in Perth Western Australia one of the remotest cities on earth.
We have one evinrude dealer so if I can use an equivalent from a later model that would be great
Also what function does the Fiber washer at the end of the high speed tube do

A carb kit will come with new welch plugs, I doubt you could remove one without ruining it.

The Guru at Chiver's Marine in Bibra Lake have come to the rescue and cross referenced a welch plug from a later model.
