Yes Chappy, it is non-skid. A small pebbley grain texture. Friendly to the bare feet and non skid. Never slipped and fell out of the boat in near 30 years.Originally posted by AKFishingNut:
Boomyal,
I am about to start on my flooring project and wanted to know what the texture of that stuff was like?
Was it like a rubberized non-skid surface?
If so, it sounds like just what I want. Low maintenance and non-skid.

Chappy
Thanks for the info BoomYall,
Sounds like you just got that company some business...Originally posted by tominello:
Thanks for the advice.

Yes it is a fiberglass boat with a plywood floor.

Does glassing the floor actually make it water proof. I thought that I read on this forum that it does not.

Thanks
Properly applied fiberglass covering of your plywood floor will make it waterproof. If you're using 1/2" plywood, I would block under the floor where ever you're going to bolt/screw anything down like seats etc. Predrill your holes and apply a sealer before you run the screws in.Originally posted by tominello:
Does glassing the floor actually make it water proof.
