I replaced a bunk on my trailer the other day. It's great except for the carpet. I wrapped it around the bunk and stapled it on the bottom, pulling it as tight as possible. However, when I loaded the boat (pontoon) back on the trailer it put a 2'-3' gash in the new carpet.
I'm wondering if it's because I didn't get the carpet tight enough on the bunk. Could that be the problem? If so, what can I do to get it tighter. Should I glue it or something?
