Cat Came Back

Well, about half a year ago I had a 3 legged, calico female cat, about 5 years old. The city had instituted a policy that any cats or dogs seen would be shot. So one night she didnt come back, so I figured she had either eaten or killed. Well now, I have a cat that looks excatly like her, three legged, calico and same annoying meow. Well, at least I think its her. She has been coming by our house and fighting with the cats my sister insisted on getting, all tabbies, 2 are bro and sis and the older one is 2 yrs old, one I got as a stray. What can I do to get her back in the house? I had her one time a month after she was missing and kept her in the house for only a day and let her out, last time I saw her. I am positive she is the only three legged (front left missing from a rabbit trap) orange spot on her head, calico cat in town, how can I get 'er?

Cats are real hard headed. Just give them some time and plenty of food and water. Hand feed the cat, dont just sit the food down.<br /><br />We adopted a stray that took a week before I could get even close, now she lets everybody hold her.<br /><br />Ken

She's gone feral, AM.<br /><br />My cat (Catzilla) was feral. My Daughter (The Cat Lady) caught her in a Hav-A-Hart live trap and brought her to me in 1994. In a few weeks she let me touch her. <br /><br />She no longer attacks strange adults but still attacks children. To this day nobody but JB can touch her without getting shredded.<br /><br />If her attitude is anything like Catzilla's it probably isn't worth the trouble.

All three are actually hers, I have been just calling the older one mine for a while. Used to take her everywhere, wasnt even afraid of the boat and water. Would swim after those little water beetles on the surface at the docks if she saw them.

I had a Calico Cat that swam real good.<br /><br />First time she went swimming, I had her in my lap while I towed some skiers, the last guy jumped off the motor (Merc 1250 inline 6) and made a big splash. She didn't get wet, but she heard it and woke up and jumped out of my lap and over the window (Running for all she was worth), but realized a little too late that there wasn't a lot of boat left. Hit all 4 brakes adn slid right off the bow. Heard a little splash and then saw her swimming in a straight line (Same direction she was running) with her tail floating behind her. I drove the boat next to her and scooped her out of the lake and put her back in my lap. She pretty much stayed there the rest of the day <br /><br />After that, she didn't mind going in for a swim after bugs or fish. She was a GREAT cat.<br /><br />Craig

My daughter The Cat Lady has a three legged calico cat named Pumpkin who is. . . .um.. .about 18. Pumpkin is missing her right hind leg.<br /><br />She is undisputed boss cat of the 40 or 50 cats in the family.<br /><br />Interesting coincidence.

Cats are special. As are Dogs.. But cats only have sharp pointy teeth and no lips (like dogs) to pick up things.. they must pick up things like boiled egg yokes which they really like with pointy teeth that are meant for tearing and ripping.. it drives them nuts..<br />hehe I have fun with my Kits every night ..
