Hmm.. Just read that Shrimping is pretty good in the st johns near Green Cove Springs. When is a good time of year to do this? I am planning a trip there to see my Brother inlaw in early - mid june. What is the best way to catch them? How do I find them?

Thanks!

Re: Catch shrimp in St Johns?

I live on the river on Mandarin Point and we catch a lot of shrimp. The best time to catch shrimp is usually at the begining of fall or towards the end of summer like in August- October. But to find them you can usually see them or sometimes here them swimming but thats only at night. So you get some shrimp "bait" and mix with water and make little hamburger pattie size "shrimp bait balls" and throw them around your perimiter and they will usually come to you. Then wait for about 15 minutes and then start casting. Hopefully this will help you!
