3 four legged children, one king size bed...........the last one to turn in either sleeps on the couch or the floor. I hate it when I'm last..........

A: If your going to catch your wife in bed, thats the way to do it. :)
B: BTDT like others
Picked up two puppies from the pound. So we let them sleep with us and the cat. Was ok until they grew to be 120 pounds each.
Dog, Me, Dog, Wife and the cat slept where she wanted to.
16 years in all.
No regrets :)

Stan, when I get my Scotty, I think I will call him Hamish or Hamilton, or something really Scots. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
Our male Westie was Fergus.
Have you ever had a Scotty?
I am interested to know their traits from personal experience rather than the book.
Cheers
Phillip

Re: Caught my wife in bed this morning (with pic)

Never had a Scotty but my elderly mother has one now and very good friends of ours had several. They are great company although they believe they can take on the world and win (it must be a Scottish trait!).
They are lovely companions when there is only one of them in the family, the problems arise when you introduce a second (or heaven help you, a third one!).
The weak spot seems to be teeth and all the ones I have known ended up with very few teeth but perhaps a good vet will be able to advise better on this?
They seem to love water and again you'll be hard pressed to keep them out of the stuff! They also love mud and sand and all manner of goo and gloop but on the bright side they are small enough to bath easily in the sink 8)
Very protective wee dogs and they'll take on adults and full grown wolfhounds if they think their owner is under threat (much to my mother's embarassment and to the painful rear end of a plumber recently!).

The Scots names sound good: you are obviously going for a male dog? Female names might include Flora, Fiona, Morag, or Senga.

Male names: Iain (Scots for John!), Jimmy, Wullie, Jock, Jockie, etc

Get a good one and you know yourself you'll never forget them: wonderful wee dugs d:)

Thanks for that Stan.
I have a feeling the family may get me one for my 60th.
Anita use to show the Westie ***** and some times I could not avoid attending. The Scotties were next door, so I would spend a lot of time over there. Loved their arragant attitude.
The males have always been easier to keep......that's what we have found.
He will of course get a 'tropical haircut'.
Thanks Stan.
Cheers
