Re: CAULKING

To which seams are you referring? 3M 4200 and 5200 are good fiberglass caulking materials. If you are caulking between metal and fiberglass, then use 4000.

Can you post a picture?

Best thing to do is go to the manufacturers websites and read about their products. Then order from iboats. 3M and Boat Life are two very popular marine sealant manufacturers that make various sealants for various applications.

Do not under any circomstances use siicone. Even the blue stuff. Unless you want to be cleaning up the mess next season and doing the job over again.

Is the transom wood by any chance?

Its on the transom where the wood and the aluminum join together, when i walk to the back of the boat water sometimes washes in the drain holes and runs in down the transom i usually empty about 2 gallons of water out when the boat is on the trailer after fishing. I did find some sealer at a marina it was 18.00 a tube thought it was pretty expensive
