CB channel on the freeway in Californee?

How come I don't get no response on the freeway? All you rubber ducks out there on the side band? We run up & down I-5 & never hear nothing. Our CB can scan but there still ain't nothing. What up with that?

go below channel 1 you may find where they hang! Yes that takes illegal stuff. JB is correct, I turned mine off years ago!

Bin........<br /><br />Channel 17 is the normal CB channel used on the major roads and interstate's in Calipornia. <br /><br />Unlike most other states who use channel 19 on their roads, Calipornia has it's "own drummer", but some out of state driver's do use 19 here and run into your situation.<br /><br />These are the freq's. to enter, if you have a programable scanner that will accept them. <br /><br />Ch. 17 freq. 27.16500<br />Ch. 19 freq. 27.18500<br /><br />"CB radio, the Redneck internet"<br /><br />...Bob in Calif...

I played the CB game years ago but I have a licensed Ham radio now.<br /><br />Look into the Ham side and you will be pleasantly surprised how much nicer it is and allot of truckers are running Ham now too.<br /><br />Distance can't be beat! Just take the class and pass the test. Well worth the time.<br /><br />Bob
