CCM:Lever1 error. HELP PLEASE

I have twin Mercruiser 377 with DTS and Axius randomly I get the CCM:Lever1 error and cannot control my port engine with the DTS controls, but I still have control with the joystick.
any ideas of where I need to start diagnostics?
when I key off and on again the port engine functions as normal until it randomly happens again.

Isn't digital technology on boats great? You get to buy all new tools (Rinda Diacom) and a new laptop so you can figure stuff out.

Do you have the service manual for the engine? For now you can check all of the cable connections, both at the controls and the engines, but who knows if that will make any difference.

I've got twin Merc 6.2/350 HP with DTS and Axius . . . I've got a low voltage warning on the starboard engine. I'll be chasing that during spring commissioning of the boat.
