cd , capasitor discharge meter, what is so special about it? can I use a vom meter to check voltage on a cd type outboard and why not. Can I make something to adapt it to do so???? Thanks
Peak reading voltmeters are reading "pulsed" dc. A regular VOM cannot accurately read this. You can purchase an inexpensive adapter ($35-ish) from either www.stevensinstrument.com or www.esitest.com - these adapters will plug into a digital multi-meter and allow it to read the voltage from a cd system.<br /><br />-John
