One Last Cast:<br /> I have the same engine-last year my #3 coil began to leak and ignition would break up w/acceleration.At night/low light you could see spark leaking from casing.When you say w/wire disconnected-does it spark from plug wire?..or from coil itself?Coils that exhibit leakage are failing.Could you try under normal operation w/low light and observe?Are you having trouble and if so how does the plug for that coil appear after operation?As far as replacing with Thunderbolt(CDI-?) coil versus our Prestolite unit-I'm not sure but,would like to know.What coils/module do you have-blue/black?Service manuals specify blue modules must use blue coils and black coils w/blue module will diminish voltage and service life.Check it out and keep posted!
