Cedar Key Florida?

Im thinking about taking my son fishing next weekend on the pier at Cedar Key. Anybody here got any pointers or ideas :) Anybody here ever fish there. This will be our first saltwater fishing experience so anything even little ones will thrill him and maybe even me :)

Just use 15-20lb rigs. Put some shrimp under a float and some on the bottom and enjoy.

I love it there. Last time I went fishing off the pier I caught a ray about 2 ft wide! Scared the poo outta me! But it's still a cool place to fish. Gotta keep an eye on yer bait. Pelicans will run off with it if left unattended.

We should hook up sometime! I'm just down the road from you in High Springs! My Pa-in Law lives in Alachua.

Im game Waterwzl. Is there any good catfishing spots there in High springs. Drove through last week and noticed the Sauanee river and thought its only 15 mins from my house it sure would be nice if there is a decent fishin hole to soak some bait for cats.
