Re: Cell phone help

If you had 'full bars' before, why did you mess with an antenna?

Re: Cell phone help

Could be an impedance problem with the new antenna, or even a tuning match issue. Also could have broken the contacts off on the circuit board of the phone when you attempted to hook up external antenna.

Re: Cell phone help

I get out on some of these islands and IL just get just a signal but not enough to call. Now i think i am going to have to take my phone back for warranty.

Re: Cell phone help

I don't want to hijack this thread, but, can someone recommend a good cell phone. I recently saw a 'consumer report' type test/comparison of perhaps 100 or so phones. Every one was listed as "poor" for phone use. Some had high marks for being a music player, others had high marks for being a PDA type device but they all seemed to suck as just a phone.

All I want is a good phone. If it comes with other bells and whistles that's great but it needs to be a good phone first and foremost.

I currently have a Motorola Razor and it isn't all that great. It is often hard to hear during normal conversation.

Ive been in the cell biz for awhile and NOKIA make the phones with the best reception.
