First time in water this year. Motor wants to heat up at idle. Increase rpms and cools back down. Has squeaking/rubbing noise in out drive that hasn"t been there. Could this be the raw water impellar? This is the first winter that boat was not sitting in a stall on the lake. Need some help to r/r impellar if that is the problem. Have been told to put in forward gear before separating the lower half of outdrive. Please advise if anyone has some tips/short cuts etc. What would be good manual to buy or is there a place to go online to get a picture of D/A. I am a heavy Equipment mechanic by trade and used to beating on things to disassemble them but don"t think this would be good idea.
