Pictures are a little tough right now as the engine is still in place, will try this weekend. It's a V drive, the straight inboard is a Coronado, the V drive and I/O would be the Coronado Cardel. As odd as it may be, I wonder if they were trying to make the engine bed only as strong as the rest of the hull. The engine beds are only about 6 foot long with a 2x spanning across the hull at the forward end. From that point, the stringers are/were 1/2" plywood. I was really surprised how minimal the structure was once I pulled off the floor. I was not originally going to re-foam it but with it being so light weight, I've decided to put foam back in as it actually seems to be somewhat structural. One thing I will do though is go with 3/4" plywood instead of 1/2", and probably join it to the engine bed.
